Before Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift tie the knot this summer, the famous couple is making the most of the NFL offseason.
After attending the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, Swift and Kelce kept a relatively low profile until this month.
The 14-time Grammy winner and Kelce attended the new revival of “Romeo and Juliet” at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London on May 7. Directed by Robert Icke, the cast features Sadie Sink as Juliet and Noah Jupe as Romeo.
The Chiefs star and the “Opalite” singer stepped out again in London the following evening for date night at Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant, Lucky Cat. However, before their London tour, the couple was in Europe for a very special occasion for one of Kelce’s teammates.
Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift Danced the Night Away at Chiefs DE George Karlaftis’ Wedding in Greece
Chiefs star defensive end George Karlaftis tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Kaia Harris at One&Only Aesthesis.
According to Huffington Post Greece, Karlaftis “married his beloved Kaia Harris in a ceremony that deeply honored his Greek family and roots. And Taylor Swift was there, dancing late into the night at the grand party that followed at One&Only.”
Karlaftis, who signed a four-year, $88 million contract extension with the Chiefs last year, went all out for the nuptials, a three-day celebration at the five-star resort. “It was a wedding with a Greek soul, family emotion, and international glamour — but without noise,” Huffington Post reported.
George Karlaftis & Kaia Harris Kept Security Tight, Which Allowed Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to Enjoy the Celebration
GettyChiefs defensive end George Karlaftis and his wife, Kaia Harris, kept a no-phones policy at their wedding.
Karlaftis and his bride kept a no-phones policy for the wedding. “Guests kept their phones turned off and had even handed them over for safekeeping,” the outlet reported. “Publicity stayed outside the door.” Kelce and Swift reportedly arrived by private jet and stayed on a yacht near the hotel.
“Swift, according to the same sources, danced all night long. Away from cameras, without staged appearances, without the burden of the image that usually accompanies her every move. For a few hours in Athens, the world’s biggest pop star was simply a guest at a friend’s wedding.
“She danced with the couple and her fiancé. All the guests were impressed by her simplicity. Kind and down-to-earth,” as they said. She greeted everyone. She got food from the buffet herself, waiting in line like everyone else. And she celebrated enthusiastically when George Karlaftis danced a hasaposeriviko, drawing everyone else to do the same — including her, of course.”
