Travis Kelce received a glowing review from former Kansas City Chiefs teammate Mitch Morse, who said the superstar tight end is “even cooler” than fans may realize.
Morse, who played alongside Kelce in Kansas City from 2015 through 2018, recently appeared on TMZ Sports and reflected on Kelce’s personality long before the NFL star became one of football’s biggest names or began dating Taylor Swift.
“I mean, charismatic, and talk about comforting eyes. My goodness, I see it. I mean, I know why Taylor did it, right? He’s a brutally handsome dude,” Morse said.
“He’s just a good. He’s a good person. And what you see is what you get and then some.”
Mitch Morse Says Travis Kelce Never Changed After Becoming Famous
Morse explained that Kelce was already developing into a star during their time together with the Chiefs.
During Morse’s first season in Kansas City, Kelce signed a major contract extension and earned his first Pro Bowl selection. According to Morse, fame never changed him.
“I’m often asked, like, ‘What’s Travis really like?’” Morse explained.
“I’m like, ‘No, he’s even cooler. He’s even sweeter. He’s even nicer. He takes the time.’”
Morse also recalled the attention Kelce received while starring on the reality dating show “Catching Kelce.”
“[Travis] broke down the team during OTAs once during that time [when the show was on],” Morse said. “And we were busting his ass, right? In a jubilant way, a jovial way.”
“And he broke it down and was like, ‘Make sure to catch my show on Thursday!’”
Morse now hosts his own podcast, “In Good Company,” after retiring from the NFL earlier this year.
The Chiefs TE Opened Up About London Trip With Taylor Swift on ‘New Heights’
Kelce also made headlines this week after discussing his recent London trip with Swift during the May 13 episode of the “New Heights” podcast.
Jason Kelce joked that he learned about the vacation online.
“I found out you were in London on the Internet,” Jason teased.
“London is fun, Jason,” Kelce replied.
Kelce shared details about attending a production of “Romeo & Juliet” starring Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe.
“For the most part, had some really good food and enjoyed some plays,” Kelce said.
“Saw Sadie Sink, and, I believe, Noah Jupe is his name. He’s f—ing phenomenal as Romeo. Sadie was as Juliet as well.”
Travis Kelce Says Taylor Swift Expanded His Food Preferences
Kelce also spoke about visiting the London restaurant Gymkhana, calling the meal one of the most surprising dining experiences he has ever had.
“Every dish they brought out, I didn’t ask a single question. I just dove in,” Kelce said.
“The only questions that I had to ask was how hot or how spicy the heat of the spice.”
Jason joked that Swift had changed Kelce’s eating habits over the course of their relationship.
“You didn’t like food before you started dating with Taylor. That’s all I’m saying,” Jason told him.
Kelce pushed back against the claim, explaining that his older brother helped expand his palate years ago by introducing him to sushi.
“I was hammered, and you told me, ‘Dude, just eat this. You’re gonna love it,’” Kelce recalled.
“And I did. And then I’ve loved sushi ever since.”
Kelce also addressed ongoing jokes about his eating habits.
“I’m not doing this anymore, this whole Travis only likes chicken fingers thing,” he said.
