On Friday night, the Toronto Blue Jays will host the Cleveland Guardians in Canada.

The Blue Jays are coming off a series where they took two out of three from the Los Angeles Angels.

Before Friday’s game, the Blue Jays announced that they had made a trade with the Texas Rangers.

The Blue Jays wrote: “OFFICIAL: We’ve acquired C Willie MacIver from the Rangers in exchange for cash considerations. MacIver has been optioned to Triple-A. INF Tyler Fitzgerald has been DFA’d.”

MacIver is coming off his rookie season where he appeared in 32 games for the Athletics.

He batted .186 with three home runs, nine RBI’s and seven runs.

Blue Jays And Rangers Right Now

The Blue Jays are currently the fourth-place team in the American League East with a 10-14 record in 24 games.

They are 6-6 in 12 games at home in Toronto.

The Rangers are currently 13-12 in 25 games, which has them as the second-place team in the American League West.
