During Friday’s game, the Blue Jays announced the news that they had made a trade with the San Francisco Giants.
The Blue Jays wrote: “OFFICIAL: We’ve acquired INF Tyler Fitzgerald from the Giants in exchange for cash considerations. He has been optioned to Triple-A.”
Fitzgerald is coming off a season where he appeared in 72 games for San Francisco.
He batted .217 with four home runs, 14 RBI’s, 19 runs and nine stolen bases.

Fitzgerald has spent all three seasons of his MLB career with the Giants.
He hit 15 home runs during the 2024 season.

Blue Jays Right Now
The Blue Jays entered Saturday’s game with the White Sox with a 4-3 record in seven games.
After the White Sox, they will return to Canada to host he Los Angeles Dodgers with the series starting on April 6.
Last season, the Blue Jays lost to the Dodgers in the World Series.
