Timberwolves Injury Report: Ayo Dosunmu Concerns Linger

The Ayo Dosunmu concerns for the Minnesota Timberwolves continue to linger.

Heading into Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs, Dosunmu was on the injury report, listed as questionable due to a calf-related setback. Dosunmu was looking at a possible third-straight absence.

Fortunately, the Timberwolves cleared the veteran guard for action. He was playing in his first game since the Timberwolves’ April 27 Game 5 matchup against the Denver Nuggets.

After missing the close-out game against Denver and the series-opener against the Spurs, Dosunmu checked in off the bench on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, his run would conclude before reaching the 11-minute mark.

Dosunmu remains on the Timberwolves’ injury report ahead of Game 3. He is questionable to play.

The Timberwolves didn’t have any detailed updates on the veteran guard after Wednesday’s action.

Considering he’s now dealing with his second lower-body injury in just a few games, the Timberwolves have to be extremely careful with Dosunmu moving forward. After he started to heat up in round one against the Nuggets, he’s having a hard time staying healthy enough to be on the court.

This postseason, Dosunmu has averaged 18.2 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds. He is shooting 57.4% from the field and 52.2% from three.
