The DUI charge Tiger Woods is facing now is not his first encounter with being arrested in Jupiter, nor his first arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drug-related substances. On May 29, 2017, the golfer was involved in his first arrest for a DUI charge when law enforcement found him sleeping inside of his car at the wheel. Though the car was not moving at the time, he was booked into the county jail by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department, and toxicology tests later turned up several prescription substances in Woods’ system including opioid pain medication, benzodiazepines, and muscle relaxants.
