Three injured in Oakland shooting

At least three people were injured in a shooting on the 1100 block of 47th Avenue near 12th Street in Oakland Sunday morning.

According to the Oakland Police Department, the shooting happened at around 7:45 a.m. Officers arrived shortly after the incident, where they found three victims who had sustained gunshot wounds.

Oakland Fire Department and the paramedics responded to assist the victims who were transported to a hospital and are listed in stable condition.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the victims and the individual responsible for the shooting were involved in a verbal dispute prior to the shooting,” OPD said in a statement.

The suspect allegedly shot at the victims from a vehicle and took off before police arrived.

The identity of suspect is not yet known.
