Lindor is one of the most notable players on the Mets.

That said, the five-time MLB star has struggled to start the season, batting .167 with no home runs and no RBI’s (with 13 strikeouts).

He has also struggled as a fielder.

It’s worth noting that the Mets still owe Lindor over $190 million.

Jeff Schudel of The News-Herald wrote (on April 1, 2021): “Good morning to you, and it is a good morning for Francisco Lindor. He signed a 10-year $341 million contract with the #Mets while most of us were sleeping. It is the biggest contract ever for a shortstop.”

Lindor’s MLB Career

Lindor was the eighth pick in the 2011 MLB Draft.

He spent the first six years of his career playing for the Cleveland Guardians.

In that span, Lindor made four All-Star Games (and helped the franchise reach the 2016 World Series).
