Stefon Diggs’ Family: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Stefon Diggs, over his 11-year NFL career, has been one of the league’s most successful and at the same time most controversial wide receivers. Now 32, Diggs began his career as a Minnesota Vikings’ fifth-round draft pick in 2015. He went on to earn four Pro Bowl selections, a first-team All-Pro honor in 2020 and a record seven 1,000-yard receiving seasons, including the current season.

But one goal that Diggs has never achieved was to play in the Super Bowl. Until now, in his first season with the New England Patriots.

On his lengthy journey to the NFL’s biggest game, Diggs has had the support of his large and complex family. Here’s what you need to know about Diggs’ family background.

Diggs’ Father Died in 2008 at Age 39

Growing up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, it was Diggs’ father, Aron, who first got his sons — Diggs and his brother Trevon — into football. Diggs was just five years old.

Aron Diggs also instilled a strict work ethic in his future All-Pro son, requiring him to do 200 pushups and 200 situps per day, along with other rigorous exercises.

Sadly, the senior Diggs suffered from long-term heart disease and was frequently in the hospital. Stefon, his oldest son, took care of Aron when he could, in between football games and practices. In 2008, while waiting for a heart transplant, Diggs’ father died of congestive heart failure. Diggs was just 14.

“We were hurt. We were sad,” Diggs told Sports Illustrated in 2018. “Because he was not only like a dad, he was like a cool friend, the type to teach you a lot.”

His Mom Worked Multiple Jobs to Support the Family

Diggs calls his mother, Stephanie, “Superwoman,” and with good reason. Following her husband’s death, she took on multiple jobs to support her children — working as an Amtrak attendant, as well as in retail at Target and Toys “R” Us.

She said that she felt she had no time to grieve her husband’s death.

“It was like, ‘Wow, who would have ever thought I would be a widow at my age?’ I was 39,” Stephanie Diggs said in 2020. “It hit me: ‘Oh my God. Who are these kids? I haven’t even been home with them.’ It was overwhelming. They were dependent on me and only me. I’ve got to keep it together.”

Diggs Has Two Brothers

Diggs’ parents also had another son, Trevon, who was born in 1998, five years after Stefon. Trevon Diggs also went on to a successful NFL career as a cornerback, drafted in the second round in 2020 by the Dallas Cowboys. The younger Diggs brother has earned two Pro Bowl selections of his own, as well as first-team All-Pro honors in 2021.

But after a series of injuries, Trevon was waived by the Cowboys on Dec. 30, 2025. The Green Bay Packers claimed him off waivers the next day, but after he played just one game for the Packers, they released him on Jan. 20, 2026.

Diggs also has a second brother, Mar’Sean — known as Darez Diggs — whom he did not meet until he was 11. Aron fathered both boys, but they have different mothers. Mar’Sean is two years younger than Stefon.

Mar’Sean played college football and was given a tryout by the Vikings while his brother was still on the team. But the middle Diggs brother never played in the NFL.

Diggs Also Has One Sister

Diggs shares a mother with his sister, Porsche Green, who has a different father. Now married, Diggs’ sister still lives in Maryland.

“She’s like the unsung hero. She was writing checks at 16,” Stephanie Diggs said in 2024. “Dropping the rent off. Writing notes. They call her Mama P. And she was like the glue that kept us together.”

Diggs Has Six Children of His Own

Though Diggs has never been married, he has reportedly fathered six children, each with a different mother. He has most recently been involved with rap star Belcalis Almánzar, better known as Cardi B, who in November became the mother of Diggs’ son, her fourth child at age 33.

Diggs’ first child, daughter Nova, was born in 2016, Diggs’ second season in the NFL, to Tyler Marie. His second, Shiloh, came along in 2023. Her mother is model Kennedy Moore.

The other three Diggs children were all born last year. Charliee Diggs was born in April to Aileen Lopera, who is known as the social media influencer Lord Gisselle. Diggs acknowledged fathering the girl after a paternity test came back positive.

Diggs has another son, whose name has not been made public. The mother is reportedly rapper K’yanna Barber, also said to be a former girlfriend of rapper Drake.

Finally, Diggs had a daughter with model Cayy Benji last year.

According to family law attorney Goldie Schon, Diggs may be paying up to $1.5 million per year in child support for his growing group of children.
