Sports Doctor Issues Statement After New York Mets Star Juan Soto Suffers Injury

On Friday evening, the New York Mets played the San Francisco Giants (in California) by a score of 10-3.

Despite the win, the more concerning news of the night was that Juan Soto left in the first inning with an injury.

The New York Mets wrote: “Juan Soto was removed from tonight’s game with right calf tightness.”

Sports Doctor Issues Statement On Juan Soto

Jesse Morse, M.D. sent out a post (via X) with his thoughts on the injury announcement from the Mets.

Morse wrote: “Juan Soto is dealing with a calf injury. Best case scenario this is just mild tweak and not actually a strain. Might take 1-2 games off and be ok. If this is a true strain, then he will likely miss a couple weeks.”

Soto signed an enormous contract with the Mets before the 2025 season.

He is coming off a year where he hit 43 home runs.

Mike Puma of The New York Post wrote: “Juan Soto will receive imaging Saturday on his calf, says Carlos Mendoza.”
