A snow dusting hit the Chicago area Friday morning as warmer temperatures are expected to arrive early next week.
As of 6 a.m., three-tenths of an inch of snow felt at O’Hare International Airport and two-tenths of an inch fell at Midway, according to the National Weather Service.
The precipitation ended around 8 a.m., with a chance of more snow showers in the afternoon, Kevin Doom, a meteorologist with the weather service said.
Temperatures were expected to be in the 20s and 30s over the weekend before reaching the 40s on Monday and Tuesday, according to the weather service.
“We’ll warm up a little bit going in to next week, but it doesn’t look like anything super exciting or super long-lived,” Doom said.
