Seahawks Urged to Find Upgrade for Underrated Roster Weakness in 2026 NFL Draft

Guard Anthony Bradford has been good enough to start for the Seattle Seahawks most of the past three seasons. Last season, he started all 17 games for the 13-4 Seahawks, who went on to win the Super Bowl.

NFL.com’s Kevin Patra, though, still identified Bradford as the “weak link” along the Seahawks offensive line. On Thursday, Patra argued Seattle should pursue potential right guard options in the 2026 NFL Draft.

“Right guard Anthony Bradford was the weak link up front last year. Seattle could use an upgrade and depth at that spot,” wrote Patra.

To Patra’s point, Bradford posted a 48.9 overall offensive grade at Pro Football Focus during the 2025 NFL season. That was, by far, the worst grade of any Seahawks starting offensive lineman during the Super Bowl campaign.

Anthony Bradford’s Struggles Along Seattle Offensive Line

Anthony Bradford

GettyRight guard Anthony Bradford has started 38 games in three seasons for the Seattle Seahawks.

According to PFF, Bradford was below average in both run blocking and pass protection. The right guard particularly struggled in pass blocking, posting just a 32.3 grade out of 100 in 2025.

Among guards who played at least 80% of his teams’ offensive snaps last season, Bradford posted the lowest overall grade and worst pass protection grade.

The 2025 campaign wasn’t an aberration either.

His 2024 PFF overall grade was almost exactly identical to his grade last season. His 2025 PFF pass blocking grade was worst than his two previous seasons, but he has posted a grade in the category clearly below average in all three of his NFL years.

The Seahawks shouldn’t expect things to get better with Bradford in 2026.

Even if Bradford enters this fall as a projected starter again, Mike Macdonald and his staff would be smart to begin developing a plan for how the team could replace Bradford by 2027. The right guard will be an unrestricted free agent next spring, and it appears unlikely the Seahawks will re-sign him.

Seattle drafted Bradford in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The guard was the No. 108 overall selection in the class.

He started 10 contests as a rookie and then 11 during 2024 before starting every game last season.

Seahawks Remaining Needs Entering 2026 NFL Draft

GettyNFL.com’s Kevin Patra argued the Seattle Seahawks should pursue potential replacements for right guard Anthony Bradford in the 2026 NFL Draft.

In a perfect world, the Seahawks will address guard in the 2026 NFL Draft.

They don’t have a lot of other needs, which makes it possible the team grabs a guard. But Seattle also doesn’t have a lot of 2026 NFL Draft capital.

After three picks in the first three rounds, the Seahawks have only one pick on Day 3.

Seattle could potentially trade back from No. 32 overall to acquire more selections. If not, though, the Seahawks will have to maximize the picks they do have.

Running back and cornerback are the team’s biggest needs. The Seahawks lost Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker II and former NFL-interception leader Riq Woolen in NFL free agency.

The Seahawks also lost edge rusher Boye Mafe in free agency, which makes the pass rush a potential draft target for Seattle as well.
