The stage is set for another epic battle in the Super Bowl, with Sam Darnold‘s Seattle Seahawks going head-to-head with NFL MVP candidate Drake Maye and the New England Patriots on Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area.
It will be yet another showdown for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, headlined by the two star quarterbacks, with Darnold trying to prove he was a Super Bowl-winning quarterback all along, and Maye aims to prove his sophomore season under new head coach Mike Vrabel was no fluke.

Ahead of Super Bowl LX, the Seahawks and Patriots players are doing the rounds with the media and being asked anything and everything about this upcoming clash in Santa Clara, California.
On Tuesday, superstar wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is now firmly in the conversation for being the best wideout in the NFL, spoke to the media about his incredible season and why people are putting him in the conversation for being the best player in the league at his position.
“I give credit to my teammates, honestly,” Smith-Njigba said about his success during the 2025 campaign. “Football is the ultimate team sport, and having Sam back there doing his thing, I wouldn’t be in the position without him. And Coach [Klint] Kubiak putting me in position, Mike Macdonald, how he just brought all of us together.
“It’s a collective thing, so I would give credit to that.”
Smith-Njigba went from being one of the better wide receivers in the league to thrusting himself into the spotlight with his best season to date, which has sparked an honest debate about whether he’s the NFL’s elite at one of the most critical positions on the field on offense.
In 17 games during the regular season, Smith-Njigba caught 119 passes for 1,793 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. All of which are career-high totals, with his receiving yards being the highest total in the NFL during the 2025 campaign.
He has continued his dominance downfield during the NFL playoffs, racking up 13 catches on 16 targets for 172 receiving yards and two touchdowns, as he’s played a key role in Darnold’s success under center and the Seahawks in general during this run to Super Bowl LX.
Mike Macdonald Makes Seahawks’ Stance on Kenneth Walker III’s Future Clear

Although Darnold and Smith-Njigba obviously played crucial roles in the Seahawks’ offensive success this season, veteran running back Kenneth Walker III also played his part in moving the ball and putting points on the board each week.
With Walker set to hit NFL free agency when the new league year starts, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was asked this week about his star running back’s future in Seattle.
“Of course we want Ken back,” Macdonald said during media availability earlier this week. “I mean, he’s a phenomenal player, he’s a great person, he’s a great teammate. Those are the people we want in our building, those are the people we want as Seahawks. I’m sure Ken feels the same way. Again, those are things we’re going to have to worry about not right now, those are decisions we’ll make in the future. But Ken knows how we feel about him, and I think we know how Ken feels about us.”
In 17 games during the regular season, Walker rushed for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns on 221 carries. He’s also played a massive role in the team’s success during the NFL playoffs, racking up 258 yards from scrimmage while scoring four touchdowns on the ground.
