Scottie Scheffler & Wife Meredith Reveal Major Personal News at Masters

Heading into the Masters, questions surrounded Scottie Scheffler’s status as his wife, Meredith Scheffler, was ready to give birth to the couple’s second child. Not only did Scottie make it to the Masters, but the golfer brought his family to Augusta as an adorable entourage.

Scottie and Meredith’s new baby, Remy, was introduced to the world at the Masters Par 3 Tournament. Scottie’s wife, Meredith, carried the couple’s new son in a wearable pouch as she walked the course with the golfer during the event.

Meredith impressed given the birth was less than two weeks before the Masters. Scottie discussed how being a new father to two children impacted his planning for Augusta National.

“Typically I play Houston before I play this tournament, so it was a little bit of a different prep than I’m used to,” Scottie told reporters on April 9, 2026. “Like you said, for good reason.

“Actually, I committed thinking the baby might come a little bit early, but I was glad I stayed home because I think he came that Friday, so was definitely glad that I wasn’t out of town and I was able to be home for that.”

Heading into the Masters, Scottie withdrew from recent tournaments amid Remy’s arrival. Scottie had nearly a month break between tournaments as the golfer last played in The Players on March 12, ahead of the Masters.

“Overall, I felt like I got some good rest,” Scottie added. “I felt like Bay Hill and (The Players) were some — it was good to get home and take my mind off tournament golf for a little bit and get to practice, prepare, and play at home.

“It’s nice. You know, when we’re waiting on Remy to be born, we can’t really plan for much, so there’s lots of downtime for our family. It was a sweet time.”

In addition to Remy, the couple’s oldest son, Bennett, also took part in the Masters Par 3 Tournament. The couple has a lot to celebrate during the latest Masters.

Days before the Masters, Scottie showed up at Augusta National confirming his status in the major. Scottie and his wife, Meredith, had yet to announce the arrival of their second child.

“We had another boy a couple weeks ago,” Scottie told Golf Channel ahead of the Masters. “It’s been really nice, it’s fun. I’m really glad they were able to travel with me this week.

“My wife is a trooper and we brought the boys this week. It’s been fun.”
