Identity theft: A Saratoga resident reported that someone used their personal information to access the their airline rewards account and redeemed miles for a loss valued at approximately $2,655.

March 6

Identity theft: Saratoga residents reported that someone used their personal information to access their bank accounts and made fraudulent transfers for a total loss of approximately $45,000.

Shoplifting: At 6:47 p.m., someone entered Safeway in the Argonaut Shopping Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and stole merchandise valued at approximately $400.

March 9

Petty theft, theft by credit card: Between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., someone stole credit cards from a purse left in a storage cubby at Paragon Body gym on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. The credit cards were used to make fraudulent purchases totaling approximately $483.
