SAN PABLO — Law enforcement authorities shut down a neighborhood early Monday and advised all residents to stay inside and close and lock all windows.

The alert came through Contra Costa County’s Community Warning System, but authorities did not release any information about the nature of the incident. A Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office spokesperson did not return calls for comment.
The lockdown is affecting the Montalvin Manor neighborhood and residents on Rachel and Heather roads. If not at home, residents were advised to lock down in their nearest place of safety.
Authorities also told residents not to call 911 unless there was a need to report a life-threatening emergency.
The lockdown remained in effect at 8:45 a.m. Residents who lived in the area but were outside the area at the time of the lockdown were being kept away.
