San Leandro: Two dead, one injured following family dispute

SAN LEANDRO — Two men are dead and another is injured after a family dispute in an unincorporated part of the city on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Around 3:30 p.m., the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2000 block of Miramonte Avenue for reports of a shooting. Deputies found an unresponsive adult male suspect in his 30s outside of an apartment complex. The man died at the scene.

Officials said that two adult male victims were located in a nearby apartment with gunshot wounds. Sheriff’s deputies performed life-saving measures on both men until paramedics arrived to transport them to a local hospital. The 55-year-old male sustained non-life threatening injuries, but the man in his 30s was critically injured and died at the hospital.

The sheriff’s office said there are no outstanding suspects and that they are “working with the family to sort out the details of the shooting.”
