The shooting happened around 8 a.m. on Feb. 12 in the 500 block of Laswell Avenue, near Parkmoor Avenue, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was taken to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, but was later listed in stable condition.
On Monday, the Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team arrested the suspect in San Jose without incident, sheriff’s office spokesperson Brooks Jarosz said in a news release.
The suspect — identified as Cody Neese — was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of attempted murder, as well as for unrelated outstanding warrants.
The sheriff’s office has not released a possible motive for the shooting, but Jarosz said in an earlier news release that the sheriff’s office believes the victim was targeted.
