San Francisco Giants Announce New Roster Move Ahead Of Dodgers Series

On Sunday, the San Francisco Giants will wrap up their series with the Pittsburgh Pirates at Oracle Park.

The two teams are tied up at 1-1, so whoever wins on Sunday will take the series.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, the Giants announced that they had optioned two players to Triple-A.

The SF Giants wrote (via X): “• RHP Ryan Walker and RHP Gregory Santos optioned to Triple-A Sacramento postgame yesterday.”

Walker was picked in the 31st round of the 2018 MLB Draft.

He is in his fourth season (all with the Giants).

Right now, the 30-year-old is 0-1 with a 6.46 ERA in 16 games this season.

Santos had spent the first two seasons of his career with the Giants.

He then had stints with the Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners before returning to the franchise this year.

Right now, the 26-year-old is 0-0 with a 3.60 ERA in three games this season.
