It has been quite a year for Sam Burns and wife, Caroline (formerly Campbell) Burns. Sam has been among the top golfers at the 2026 Masters.
The golfer’s stellar play comes as the couple is expecting another baby. Sam and wife, Caroline, are already proud parents to son, Bear.
Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis reported during the Masters that Caroline is pregnant with a new baby set to arrive in July.
Sam is good friends with Scottie Scheffler, and it just so happens that the star and wife, Meredith Scheffler, just welcomed a new baby to the world days before the Masters. Caroline and Sam will soon join the Schefflers as a family of four.
“(Sam) has learned a lot from Scottie, especially in practice rounds,” Lewis detailed in an April 9, 2026, episode of “Live From the Masters.” “They kind of mimic each others’ lives. Scottie, this last month, he and his wife Meredith, had their second child, a boy.
“Caroline, Sam Burns’ wife, well, they’re about to have their second child as well, and they already have a boy. His name is Bear. We will find out in July when the baby is born.”

During the Masters, Sam was asked about already winning some of the infamous crystal from Augusta National. Sam admitted that he has put wife, Caroline, in charge of the Masters memento.
“I’m sure my wife does. I let her be in charge of all the nice and important stuff,” Sam told reporters on April 6.
“I’m sure she puts them to good use.”
Sam pointed to the couple’s son, Bear, as helping him keep his mind off golf during the Masters. When Sam has not been climbing the leaderboard, the golfer enjoys spending time with his family.
“I think when I get back home, you kind of forget about golf a little bit,” Sam noted in an April 9, press conference. “I have an almost 2-year-old at home, so really just you get to have the joy of being a dad and just hanging out with him.
“It’s a really good distraction, and I’m looking forward to doing that this afternoon.”

Sam and Caroline grew up together, but it took some time for things to turn romantic. Now, Sam could not imagine life without his wife.
“Happy 2 years to my bride!” Sam noted in an anniversary message posted to Instagram on December 14, 2021. “I couldn’t imagine doing life without you.
“Here’s to many more memories together with the most beautiful person I know inside and out. I love you, Caroline Burns!”
The couple has a lot to celebrate as their family expands. Sam is hoping that when the new baby arrives he will be the recent winner of a green jacket.
Regardless, Sam and Caroline are on their way to having a stellar year as the golfer continues to be a threat at top PGA Tour tournaments as the family grows.
