The Denver Police Department on Thursday increased the Crime Stoppers reward for information to $3,000 and asked for the public’s help.

Salazar was shot at approximately 3 p.m. Feb. 14 outside the aquarium at 700 Water St. by someone in a moving vehicle. He later died at a hospital.

“This does not appear to be a random incident and family and friends are pleading with anyone with information about this case, especially those who might have seen suspicious vehicles or individuals around the time of the shooting, to come forward,” police officials said in a crime alert Thursday.

Anyone with information about the case can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or metrodenvercrimestoppers.com.
