Boston is an abysmal 9-20 while playing at Fenway this season, and in a weird 180 fashion, the Red Sox are 16-14 on the road, so what is causing the distraction? Recently, Red Sox veteran infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa was asked, and he responded in a puzzling way.

What does this Kiner-Falefa Message Mean?
Isiah Kiner-Flaefa was asked why this Red Sox team is much better on the road than at Fenway Park, and he seems to answer in a way that indicates the Red Sox are facing some distractions away from baseball in their home city.
Per Barstool Sports, here is part of the audio transcription from his post-game interview:
âI just feel like on the road, weâre a very close-knit team. Weâve come home and thereâs just a lot of people. A lot of people. Itâs different. Itâs just a different vibe at home,â said Kiner-Falefa. âWeâve got to figure out a way to make it small like how it is on the road. ⦠We were becoming a really close team. And weâve got to find a way to bring that back home.â
Who is ‘A lot of people’? A lot of Red Sox staffers family members? Random people, he’s never seen around the clubhouse before? Too many fans? Remember, the Red Sox underwent a clubhouse change when Alex Cora was fired, and Chad Tracy took over.
Weird times in Boston, which is in last place in the AL East.

Maybe he’s a voice for the clubhouse, or maybe not; that part we don’t know, but the speculation around this comment is one that Red Sox fans will be pondering for sure.
It’s such a bizarre thing to say, and honestly doesn’t make any sense. I guess, at this point, the Red Sox want to play on the road, given the success so far, but why wouldn’t a team enjoy the luxury of playing at Fenway Park half the time?
As for Isiah Kiner-Falefa individually? He’s actually been better than anyone would have thought. He’s batting .299 with one home run, 11 RBI, and an OPS+ of 110 over 77 at-bats.
