No. 3 Acalanes 7, San Leandro 2
Acalanes remained undefeated and won its 13th straight behind a solid offensive outing from Keegan Goddard.
The junior outfielder had two hits, an RBI and a triple to lead the Dons to a dominant win.
San Leandro scored on an error in the fifth inning, but Acalanes responded in the sixth. Mason Zirkel’s sacrifice fly that scored Drew Asadorian, capped off a three-run sixth inning and gave the Dons a commanding 6-1 lead.
Kai Velez scored the other run for San Leandro on a sacrifice fly from Daylon Grady in the seventh inning.
San Leandro is now 4-10 after Monday’s loss.
Palo Alto 1, No. 8 James Logan 0
Henry Harding’s RBI single in the seventh inning scored the Vikings lone run, but it’s all they needed to beat top-ranked James Logan.
Senior Vincent Braga pitched five innings for Palo Alto, striking out eight and allowing three hits.
James Logan junior Benjamin Tower allowed just four hits and a run in 6 2/3 innings.
Palo Alto is now 5-9 after Monday’s win and will play Sacred Heart Prep on Tuesday.
James Logan’s nine-game winning streak was snapped as the Colts dropped to 9-2.
Alhambra 4, El Cerrito 0
The Bulldogs put on a pitching display as Alhambra handed El Cerrito its first loss of the season.
Daniel Polasek struck out five batters and allowed just three hits in six innings. Sophomore Max Schulze came in relief in the seventh and struck out two.
Joaquin “Kiki” Henriquez batted 2 for 2 and had two RBIs.
Alhambra improved to 8-7 and will play California High School on Tuesday. The Gauchos dropped to 6-1.
Campolindo 11, San Lorenzo 2
The Cougars totaled 13 hits in a blowout win over San Lorenzo.
San Lorenzo tied the game 2-2 in the third, but a scoring burst in the middle innings shifted the momentum in favor of Campolindo. The Cougars combined for nine runs from the fourth inning to the sixth to seal the win.
Sophomore Blake Robison was perfect at the plate, totaling four hits in four attempts to go along with an RBI and a triple. Junior Jack Luster batted 3 for 4 with an RBI and a double.
The junior pitching trio of Justin Nagayama, Ryan Rittmann and Alex Rothey combined to strike out 11 batters and allow three hits.
Campolindo improved to 6-4 and will play Antioch on Tuesday. San Lorenzo dropped to 5-8.

Liberty vs No. 12 Freedom
Liberty capitalized on a late-game error to defeat Freedom in its first league game of the season.
In the top of the seventh, Isabella Rice hit a ball into the infield but Freedom committed a fielding error that allowed Kelsie Skaggs to score from second base. Skaggs’ run gave Liberty a 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.
After walking Freedom’s lead-off hitter, Kate Skinner retired three consecutive batters to close the book on the Falcons’ comeback bid in the final half inning.
Liberty sophomore Kaitlyn Macias had a hit and two RBIs. Skinner had eight strikeouts in seven innings.
Freedom junior Ruby Camacho-Cuen batted 1 for 2 and had a home run.
Liberty improved to 7-2 while Freedom dropped to 5-3.
No. 15 Los Gatos 8, Fremont-Sunnyvale 2
Runs came easy for Los Gatos in its first of two matchups against Fremont this season.
After Lily Young hit a triple to score Grace Tucker, the Wildcats took a 8-0 lead going into the sixth inning.
Young, Tucker and Ria Sharma each had two RBIs for Los Gatos (9-2, 3-0). Freshman Ava Norquist struck out seven in four innings.
Fremont senior Deni Wurfer went 1 for 3 at the plate with an RBI.
Piedmont 19, Healdsburg 1
The Highlanders used an 11-run first inning to defeat Healdsburg by mercy rule in five innings.
Piedmont walked 13 times and totaled 19 hits.
Miya Fujimoto was 2 for 2 at the plate to go along with four RBIs and a double. Mia Leggett recorded two hits, two RBIs and a triple.
Fujimoto got it done in the pitcher’s circle too, striking out six and allowing no hits in three innings.
