PHOTOS: Rehabilitated bald eagles take flight at Jeffco ranch

Members of Birds of Prey Rehab Center, Colorado Parks & Wildlife and the Eagle Rock Ranch family came together to release two juvenile bald eagles back into the wild at Eagle Rock Ranch near Jefferson, Colorado on May 8, 2024. One eagle was found on the ranch after falling ill and was later diagnosed with West Nile Disease. The other eagle, found elsewhere, also required rehabilitation. Both were cared for at the Birds of Prey Rehab Center in Broomfield. Both eagles made full recoveries and were released near the same spot where one was discovered sick nearly a year earlier.
