After winning back-to-back Masters titles, Rory McIlroy could win his seventh major title at the 2026 PGA Championship.

The 37-year-old took a three-week break following a historic win at the Masters before returning to play at the Truist Championship, where he tied for 19th place. Before making his way to Pennsylvania’s Aronimink Golf Club this week, McIlroy spent quality time with his wife, Erica Stoll.

The couple attended the White House’s state dinner in honor of King Charles and Queen Camilla, and their joint cameo debuted in the movie, “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

“I know how fortunate I am and so lucky to be in this position in life, and sometimes you have to enjoy the perks, because I know that this isn’t going to last forever,” McIlroy told reporters on Tuesday.

“There’s going to be a day where I’m not sitting up here and I’m not competing for major championships and I’m not doing what I’m doing. So I guess while I’m doing it, I have to enjoy it, as well.”

A Rare Photo of Rory McIlroy and His Wife, Erica Stoll, Emerged on Social Media

McIlroy and Stoll, who share a daughter, Poppy, 5, have always kept a very low profile. The golfer rarely posts about his personal life on social media, and Stoll prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

The only public photos of the couple are from McIlroy’s title celebrations or golf-related events, which is why the latest picture of the two immediately drew attention.

Stoll looked stunning in a black lace gown alongside McIlory at the White House. One fan commented, “Really a beautiful couple with the most gorgeous little girl❤️.” Another fan gushed, “Erica is stunning. Beautiful appropriate gown, 💯 class & elegance.”

McIlroy and Stoll briefly separated after the golfer filed for divorce in May 2024, during which he cited their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” However, they called off the divorce a month later.

Erica Stoll Broke Form to Appear in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ With Rory McIlroy

When McIlroy appeared in Netflix’s “Full Swing” documentary, he did so on the grounds that Stoll would not have to be filmed.

“I made sure that the parameters were very much like, look, you can film me at — you’re not coming to my house, you’re not coming in my car, you’re not coming anywhere near my family, but you want to do some stuff with me at golf tournaments, totally fine,” he told the Golf Channel in 2023.

However, Stoll was the reason McIlory agreed to appear in “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” McIlory explained on the “New Heights” podcast earlier this month, “I won The Players’ Championship last year and they asked me afterwards, ‘What did you do last night to prepare?’ I said, ‘I had dinner and got back to the room and I watched The Devil Wears Prada.’

“The director, David Frankel, somehow got wind of it, so the team reached out and said, ‘Look, Dave was wondering if you’d want to do some sort of cameo. I said to my wife Erica, ‘Eh, what do you think?’ and she’s like, ‘Yeah, absolutely!’” McIlory asked if Erica could be in it, too, and the producers immediately said yes.

They “spent the day in New York” to film the cameo, which turned out to be “the most unbelievable experience,” McIlroy said.
