Phoenix Suns Star Reacts to Dillon Brooks News vs Magic

The Phoenix Suns wrapped up their Monday night matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies with a blowout victory.

Without Dillon Brooks once again, the Suns defeated the Grizzlies 131-105.

On Tuesday, March 31, the Suns will close out a back-to-back set with a matchup against the Orlando Magic. Brooks is on pace to make his return.

Ahead of the action, the Suns’ star Jalen Green reacted to the news that Brooks is making his way back after a long recovery.

via Duane Rankin, Arizona Central: “He’s super ready.” Suns guard Jalen Green on Dillon Brooks, who looks to return Tuesday at Magic after missing 18 games with fractured left hand. “No one ever plans to miss games like that. Even him just getting back in the gym after the injury, still putting the work in with one hand. It’s crazy to see. I’m excited for him to get back out there.”

The Suna acquired Brooks during the 2025-2026 offseason. He was traded to the team, following a two-year stint with the Houston Rockets.

In his first 50 games with the Suns, Brooks reached a new level.

The veteran forward averaged 30.6 minutes on the court, shooting 44.0% from the field and 34.3% from three, averaging 20.9 points per game.

Along with his scoring, Brooks came down with 3.7 rebounds per game, 1.8 assists per game, and produced 1.0 steals per game.

The veteran forward was widely regarded as an All-Star snub when the participants were revealed earlier in the year.

When the Suns acquired Green and Brooks from the Rockets, the expectations for immediate success weren’t super high.

However, the Suns are in postseason contention. Heading into Tuesday’s game in the midst of a two-game winning streak, the Suns are 42-33 and sitting seventh in the Western Conference.

They’ll have a shot to crack one of the bottom seeds in the Western Conference.

Brooks returns to the Suns just in time to get seven games in before the NBA Play-In Tournament.

The run begins with the Magic on Tuesday, March 31, at 7 PM ET.
