A pedestrian was killed in a hit and run crash on Sunday morning in Thornton, according to a Thornton Police Department X post.

Driver killed in Saturday evening crash on East Colfax

The adult male pedestrian was found deceased in the 2500 block of East 120th Avenue. The roadway closed from Steele Street to Claude Court around 6:40 a.m. while officers investigated. As of 8:45 a.m., only one lane is still closed, according to an update from the department. 

The driver left the scene of the crash and officials are working to develop suspect information. Information including the vehicle involved in the crash and the cause of the crash was not available.
