Pedestrian found on California street shot and killed after reportedly being struck by 2 vehicles

A pedestrian was shot and killed on Thursday, May 9, after authorities received a report of two vehicles hitting the pedestrian in Victorville, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department officials said.

Active shooter neutralized outside Wisconsin middle school

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report Thursday that a pedestrian had been hit by two vehicles near Mariposa Road and Locust Avenue in Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the man. A “lethal force encounter” happened, and the pedestrian was killed at the scene, authorities said.

Details regarding why the pedestrian was shot and circumstances surrounding his being struck by two vehicles were not immediately available.

“The investigation is ongoing. Nothing further,” said Gloria Huerta, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.
