The votes are all in. Former tight end Rob Gronkowski is going to be the next member of the New England Patriots Hall of Fame.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported on Wednesday that the fan vote determined it would be Gronkowski who is inducted this season, earning the fan vote. He beat out kicker Adam Vinatieri and lineman Logan Mankins, who were the other finalists.
The Patriots would also announce the decision. In celebration, the team shared a two-minute-long video on Twitter/X, celebrating his career.
Reiss also noted that the date and time of the induction ceremony have not yet been announced for Gronkowski. A season ago, the Patriots honored Julian Edelman on Saturday, September 20th.

There was no doubt that Rob Gronkowski would eventually make it to the Patriots Hall of Fame, the same way there is no doubt that he will make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
In 201o, Gronkowski was selected by the Patriots in the second-round of the NFL Draft. Almost immediately, he would become a favorite target of Tom Brady and took the NFL by storm. He would also become a fan-favorite in the process, known for his celebratory spikes.
A four-time First-Team All-Pro selection, the 2014 Comeback Player of the Year, and four-time Super Bowl winner, including three with the Patriots, Gronkowski is among the most decorated players in NFL history. He would also be named to the Patriots All-Dynasty Team and the NFL’s 100th Anniversary Team.
On top of all of that, Gronkowski holds multiple NFL records, for total touchdowns in a season by a tight end with 18, and for receiving touchdowns in a season by a tight end with 17. He set those both in 2011, his second NFL season.
In 2018, Gronkowski retired from the NFL. Injuries had taken their toll. However, he would later return to join Brady with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. There, he helped cement his legacy.
During his nine seasons with the Patriots, Gronkowski had 521 receptions for 7,861 yards and 79 touchdowns. That’s 15.1 yards per reception.
