Mack Hollins proved to be an important addition for the New England Patriots during the 2025 season, but an injury sidelined him for the last two regular-season games.
And with that, he also missed out on a $400,000 inventive due to his lacerated spleen. However, Mike Vrabel and the Patriots decided to honor this, adding the $400,000 signing bonus to Hollins’ contract, per Over The Cap.
To hit this incentive, Hollins needed 50 catches in the regular season, but he finished with 46. However, he was able to return in the postseason, coming back for the AFC Championship and Super Bowl LX.
According to Spotrac, Hollins also had separate incentives at 30 and 40 catches, which he hit. So he totaled $1 million in incentives.

Back in the spring, Hollins signed a two-year, $8.4 million contract including $3.4 million guaranteed. And it was fitting, as Hollins had spent time with offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in Las Vegas during the 2022 season.
“Yeah, he’s the kind of guy that you never want to lose,” McDaniels told The Athletic. “He’s very unique and allows you to do a lot of different things. And he’s as good a teammate as I’ve ever had an opportunity to coach. He’s unselfish, and he’s helped our young players learn how to be a pro, learn our system and do their job the right way.”
Over the course of his career, he’s spent time with a few different NFL teams, including the Dolphins, Raiders, Falcons, Bills, and of course the Eagles, who he was drafted by in 2017.
With that, it’s earned him the label of a journeyman.
“I’m totally fine with that label,” Hollins also told The Athletic. “Because I chose wherever I went, outside of getting released from Philly and picked up by Miami. I always was able to pick where I saw value, and they saw value in me.
“Don’t go where the money’s the best or you think the opportunity is the best. Go where it feels the best. And you only learn what feels the best from trial and error. So yeah, if I’m a journeyman, so be it. At least I got to do it my way.”
Hollins still has one year remaining on his deal with the Patriots, set to earn a base of $4.3 million next season, with another $1 million available in incentives. And as a key leader in the locker room, he’ll certainly be an important piece once again during the 2026 season.
Mack Hollins’ Pregame Outfit At Super Bowl LX Was Perfect Homage To Mike Vrabel
When he took the field for pregame warmups at Super Bowl LX, Hollins honored his head coach in the perfect way, wearing No. 84 Mike Vrabel jersey from his high school, in which the mascot is the Warriors.
The “Warriors” mantra became a part of the Patriots menatlity this season, specifically using the iconic moment from the 1979 cult classic, “The Warriors.” Specifically, ahead of the AFC Championship at Mile High Stadium, Hollins entered dressed as Luther while shouting, “Warriors, come out to play!” He also had to glass bottles.
