Past Winners, Results, and Records of The Masters Tournament at Augusta National

This year’s annual occasion of The Masters Tournament at Augusta National will be the 89th competition for the exclusive golf matchup. Winners of the tournament have raised up The Masters trophy at an array of ages, career tenures, and depth of experience in the sport.

Legendary golfer Tiger Woods became the youngest winner of The Masters in 1997 when he won by a shocking 18 strokes at the age of 21. Jack Nicklaus is the most prolific winner with six Masters titles to his name. And heading into the 2026 Masters Tournament, Rory McIlroy is the reigning 2025 champion who will be hosting the Champion’s Dinner ahead of the official start of the competition.

Though the Augusta National course opened in 1933, the first Masters Tournament wasn’t played until the following year in 1934. From 1943 until 1945, the tournament was paused due to World War II.
