The NFL Pro Bowl weekend isn’t quite what it once was, but for Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons, he had a different agenda anyways.
Parsons was named to his fifth Pro Bowl selection in 2025 but wasn’t able to participate in the on-field activities while continuing to recover from ACL surgery.
Still, Parsons was plenty visible around Moscone Center in San Francisco as part of Super Bowl LX festivities, riding through the building on a motorized scooter he jokingly named “Lightning McQueen.”
“I’m just trying to show guys, like, even though you can be injured, life’s not going the way [you want it to], understand we’re still blessed,” Parsons told ESPN’s Laura Rutledge. “God still allowed us to be here, and let’s just bring energy. We’re all so blessed to be here, be around each other. These are some of the best players in the world, and I don’t look past that. So I just live in the moment, be where my feet are at and just enjoy myself.”
But Parsons wasn’t just there to hang out with teammates during an NFC win over the AFC. He apparently had some recruiting on his mind, too.
Micah Parsons Was Recruiting Cowboys WR
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb also earned his fifth Pro Bowl selection and made an appearance on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams.
During the segment, Adams brought up Cowboys receiver George Pickens, and Lamb revealed that multiple players were trying to recruit Pickens to their teams for 2026 — including Parsons.
“Everybody in my face is trying to recruit him while I’m standing right next to him,” Lamb said.
When Adams asked who, Lamb didn’t hesitate.
“Micah, for one. Let’s start with Micah,” Lamb said. “… I don’t know what’s going on with him. He’s too active to be on a scooter.”
Lamb added that Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon was also in the mix.
“It was for sure Keisean… Green Bay clearly wants him,” Lamb said.
Adams responded, “Of course Green Bay wants him, they need him.”
George Pickens Could Draw Major Interest in 2026
Pickens was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Cowboys during the 2025 offseason, a move that came with plenty of risk. If the two sides don’t reach an extension, Pickens is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2026 — and it’s already clear he’ll have a long list of suitors.
Green Bay could be one of them.
Parsons and Pickens didn’t share much time together in Dallas. Pickens was dealt to the Cowboys in May, while Parsons was traded in late August just before the regular season began. Still, any familiarity between players can matter, especially when recruiting becomes part of the offseason conversation.
And for quarterback Jordan Love, adding another elite playmaker wouldn’t hurt.
With questions surrounding Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson beyond 2026, the Packers may need to add a true No. 1-caliber receiver. Pickens would fit that mold, assuming Green Bay is willing to pay for it.
According to Spotrac, Pickens’ current market value projects to a four-year, $122.425 million deal, with an average annual salary of $30.6 million.
