One person killed after vehicle hits I-70 median in Wheat Ridge

One person is dead and two lanes of Interstate 70 eastbound are closed after a vehicle crashed into the concrete median.

The crash is near Wadsworth Boulevard, according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department in an 11:44 a.m. post on X.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Wheat Ridge Police is investigating a fatal crash on I-70 EB near Wadsworth Blvd. We will be shutting down two lanes as we investigate. One vehicle was involved and crashed into the concrete median. There were no passengers in the vehicle. pic.twitter.com/mIRB7ChEST

The vehicle that crashed is the only one involved, police said, and there were no passengers in the vehicle.
