One man killed, another injured in Pleasant Hill shooting

PLEASANT HILL – One man was killed and another suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting Tuesday in Pleasant Hill, police said.

The suspect remained at large as of Tuesday afternoon, Pleasant Hill police Capt. Matt Kristic said in a news release.

Kristic said the shooting was reported just before noon on Twinbridge Circle near Longbrook Way, which is a few blocks from the intersection of Contra Costa Boulevard and Ellinwood Drive. Officers arrived to find two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where one was pronounced dead. The other man was being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police did not release the identities of either man. The man who died was 67 years old.
