The 2026 Winter Olympics are ramping up as today, Friday, February 6, features the Opening Ceremony. There are also actual Olympic games on TV on the Friday, February 6, schedule as well.
The Opening Ceremony technically takes place in Milan at 2 p.m. Eastern on NBC and Peacock as a result of the time difference. Most fans in the United States are likely to prefer watching the re-airing of the Opening Ceremony in the traditional primetime window at 8 p.m. on both NBC and Peacock.
Given the time difference throughout the 2026 Olympics, fans will have the option of watching live throughout the morning and day or wait until NBC re-airs the top events in primetime. This can be challenging as there are likely to be plenty of spoilers on social media once events are finished.
Each night, NBC will be airing “Primetime in Milan” which will feature the top Olympic events of the day at 8 p.m. Eastern.
