Nuggets Get Good News With Aaron Gordon for Game 1 vs Timberwolves

During the final week of the 2025-2026 NBA regular season, the Denver Nuggets had a handful of key players on the injury report. Aaron Gordon was one of them.
Throughout the year, the veteran forward has dealt with multiple notable stretches of absences.

Down the final stretch of the year, fans were growing concerned with Gordon’s state as he was frequently popping up on the injury report.

In the final two matchups of the season (against the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs), Gordon was sidelined. While the Nuggets didn’t leave any reason to be concerned throughout their week of practice, the injury report could finally ease everybody’s mind.

Denver cleared most of the names off their injury report ahead of Game 1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Gordon is among those who have been left off. Barring any unexpected changes, Gordon is on pace to play on Saturday night.

It’s been a year full of ups and downs on the availability front for Gordon. He missed his third game on November 22. That turned into a stretch of 19-straight games out for Gordon.

Beyond his scoring, Gordon came down with 5.8 rebounds per game and dished out 2.7 assists per game.

Now, he’s got six years of experience, including 61 games and a championship run on his resume. Last year, Gordon posted averages of 16.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game during the Nuggets’ playoff run.

When the Nuggets closed out their 2025-2026 run, they were the hottest team in the NBA with 12-straight wins. Denver is looking to keep the ball rolling on Saturday, as they enter their challenging series against the Timberwolves.
