Nuggets Announce Aaron Gordon Injury Ahead of High-Stakes Game 3

Heading into Game 3, the Denver Nuggets have a slightly different injury report against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nuggets announced that the veteran forward Aaron Gordon is dealing with left calf tightness. He is still expected to have a good shot at playing. The Nuggets listed Gordon as probable.

However, his presence on the injury report indicates that it’s not a guarantee. Gordon could also end up limited if his calf is bothering him.

All season long, Gordon has been dealing with setbacks. Prior to this season, the fewest games Gordon played for the Nuggets were 68. This year, he appeared in just 36 games.

During the 2025-2026 season, Gordon posted averages of 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. He shot 49.7% from the field and 38.9% from three.

On Thursday night, the first-round series between the Nuggets and the Timberwolves will continue in Minnesota for the first time.

Right now, the series is tied 1-1. Denver managed to pick up a comfortable win in Game 1 at home. A confident Timberwolves team bounced back for the second matchup and issued the Nuggets their first loss in weeks.

Gordon averaged 33.0 minutes per game through the first two playoff outings. The veteran forward produced 12.5 points per game, while shooting 42.1% from the field. He also came down with 7.5 rebounds per game, and averaged 3.5 assists per matchup.

The series continues on Thursday night with a 9:30 PM ET tip. The Nuggets are looking to get back on track by silencing the Timberwolves after their standout, Jaden McDaniels, took some notable shots at the Denver defense.
