The Toronto Maple Leafs may have been quiet for most of trade deadline day, but more of their moves are starting to be announced.
According to Mayor Manor’s John Hoven, the Maple Leafs have traded forward Scott Laughton to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a third-round pick.
Laughton landing with the Kings is certainly intriguing to see, as they are currently on the wrong side of the playoff line. In addition, they traded veteran forward Corey Perry to the Tampa Bay Lightning earlier on trade deadline day. Yet, even with the Kings being sellers, they have now brought in Laughton for their bottom six.
