On Thursday afternoon, the New York Yankees lost the final game of their series against the Athletics by a score of 1-0 (at home).
The Yankees (who lost two out of three to the Athletics) are now headed to Tampa Bay for a series with the Rays that starts on Friday.

Ahead of Friday’s game, the Yankees have made a new roster move.
Via Jon Heyman of New York Post Sports wrote: “Cade Winquest DFA’ed by Yankees. Made the team out of spring but never debuted.”
Winquest is coming off a season where he appeared in 25 Minor League games.
He went 5-7 with a 3.99 ERA.
