New York Yankees Make Anthony Volpe Decision Before Orioles Game

On Friday night, the New York Yankees will open up a three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles in the Bronx.

Anthony Volpe has yet to make season debut, and there had been a lot of speculation that he could get called up as soon as Friday.

That said, Volpe will not be called up for Friday’s game.

Max Mannis: “Yankees have been oddly secretive and vague about this all along. Might be as simple as he’s not ready yet, but what’s going on here? Why won’t they just place any kind of timeline on it?”

@MattFeinbergEsq: “No rushing him. Could always be back tomorrow or over the weekend.”

@Wholeeohh3: “Why would the yankees bring him up when this roster is doing so well without him…i think caballero is an upgrade as a player and brings more to this team than volpe”
