Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Yankees announced that they had made a roster move.
The Yankees wrote (via X): “Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves: • Placed LHP Max Fried on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to 5/14) with a left elbow bone bruise. • Recalled RHP Elmer Rodríguez (#71) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.”
Rodríguez was picked in the fourth round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
He made his MLB debut earlier this season.
Over two games, the 22-year-old has gone 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA.
