On Saturday night, the New York Yankees will be back at Citi Field for the second game of their series with the New York Mets.

The Yankees won Friday’s game by a score of 5-2.

Ben Rice finished with three hits, including one home run.

For Saturday’s game, the Yankees have announced their starting lineup.

For just the third time this season, Rice will be the team’s leadoff hitter.

The 27-year-old is batting .314 with 43 hits, 14 home runs, 30 RBI’s, 33 runs and two stolen bases in his first 40 games of the 2026 season.

There is good reason to believe that Rice will make his first career All-Star Game in July.

Rice was picked in the 12th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

He has spent all three seasons of his career with the Yankees.

Yankees Ahead Of Saturday’s Game

The Yankees come into Saturday’s matchup as the second-place team in the American League East with a 28-17 record in 35 games.

They are 14-11 in 25 games on the road.
