On Saturday, the New York Mets will continue their series with the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix.

They are coming off a 3-1 victory on Friday.

During their series in Arizona, the Mets signed Xzavion Curry to a minor league deal (via MLB.com).

John Flanigan of SNY wrote: “The Mets have signed RHP Xzavion Curry to a minor league deal. The 27-year-old has a 4.68 ERA and 99 strikeouts across 62 big-league appearances. He’s been assigned to Triple-A Syracuse.”

Curry’s Background

Curry was picked in the seventh round of the 2019 MLB Draft.

He spent his first two and a half seasons with the Cleveland Guardians.

In 2023, Curry went 3-4 with a 4.07 ERA in 41 games.
