Social Media Reacts To Lindor News
Here’s what people were saying about the news:
Anthony DiComo: “Breaking: Francisco Lindor has exited tonight’s Mets game after four innings. Lindor appeared to grimace rounding third base on a Francisco Alvarez double. Bo Bichette is replacing him at shortstop, with Brett Baty playing third.”
@SleeperMets: “The play where Francisco Lindor supposedly got hurt: Looked very slow running the bases, and remained on the ground after sliding into home. A nightmare injury for the Mets.”
Max Goodman: “Juan Soto had a right calf strain. He originally exited a game after running first to third and exited with right calf tightness. Four innings into his return from the IL tonight, Francisco Lindor was removed with left calf tightness after running first to home. Nightmare start to this season continues for the Mets.”
Pat Ragazzo: “Francisco Lindor has left calf tightness, per the Mets The same day that Juan Soto returned from a right calf strain”
Lindor And The Mets
Lindor is in his sixth year playing for the Mets.
Despite a slow start to this season, he is coming off a year where he made his fifth MLB All-Star Game.
Before the Mets, Lindor spent six years playing for the Cleveland Guardians.
His injury will be something to monitor going forward, as the Mets struggling has been one of the hottest topics in the MLB.

The Mets are currently at the bottom of the National League East with the worst record in baseball (7-16).
They have one more game against the Twins before they open up a series with the Colorado Rockies (also at home).
Last season, the Mets missed the MLB playoffs (after making the 2024 NLCS).
Lindor reached the World Series with the Guardians (2016).
