On Thursday, the New York Mets will be off following a series with the Milwaukee Brewers in Wisconsin.
They most recently lost by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Mets will now open up a series with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday at Citi Field.

Also on Wednesday, news came out that the Mets had released Yonny Hernández from their organization.
MLB.com wrote: “Syracuse Mets released SS Yonny Hernández.”
Hernández did not play in an MLB game for the Mets.
He was with their Triple-A affiliate.

The 28-year-old had been having a solid year, batting .305 with 69 hits, two home runs, 29 RBIs, 31 runs and 11 stolen bases in 74 games.
He could be a good addition to another team in need of hitting depth at the Triple-A level.
It will be interesting to see if anyone picks him up before the end of the 2026 season.
Looking At Hernández’s MLB Career

Hernández has spent part of three seasons in the MLB with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers.
His longest stint came with the Rangers (2021) when he appeared in 43 games.
Over 69 career MLB games, he is batting .190 with 36 hits, 10 RBIs, 22 runs and 13 stolen bases.

The Mets are currently at the bottom of the National League East with a 43-60 record in 103 games.
They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games (and are 21-28 in 49 games at home).
Dodgers Right Now

The Dodgers come into their series with the Mets as the top team in the National League West with a 65-38 record in 103 games.
