After getting hurt on Friday night, the Mets have announced that Juan Soto will not be in the starting lineup (on Saturday).

Soto also announced an update after his MRI results came back.
David Lennon of Newsday Sports wrote: “Juan Soto just said today’s MRI showed a minor strain of his right calf but he’s hoping to avoid the IL. Says they’re taking it day by day but no idea of a potential return yet.”

The Mets star is currently in the middle of his second year with the team.
He is batting .355 with one home run, five RBI’s and three runs in the first eight games.

Brett Baty will be in right field and Mark Vientos at first base. Bo Bichette moves to No. 2 in the lineup and Jorge Polanco – back at DH – will be third in the lineup.”
