On Saturday evening, the New York Mets will be in California to play the third game of their series with the San Francisco Giants.

The series is tied up at 1-1 after the Mets won by a score of 10-3 (on Friday).

After getting hurt on Friday night, the Mets have announced that Juan Soto will not be in the starting lineup (on Saturday).

Soto also announced an update after his MRI results came back.

David Lennon of Newsday Sports wrote: “Juan Soto just said today’s MRI showed a minor strain of his right calf but he’s hoping to avoid the IL. Says they’re taking it day by day but no idea of a potential return yet.”

The Mets star is currently in the middle of his second year with the team.
