For Monday’s game, the Mets have announced the bold decision to have Soto as their leadoff hitter.
@TalkinBaseball_ wrote: “Juan Soto is batting leadoff today for the third time in his career and first time since 2021”
Soto is in the middle of his second season playing for the Mets.
He is batting .314 with 22 hits, three home runs, eight RBI’s and eight runs in his first 19 games of the 2026 season.
