New York Knicks Announce Starting Lineup Change After Karl-Anthony Towns News

On Friday evening, the New York Knicks will host the Chicago Bulls at Madison Square Garden.

Right before the game, the Knicks announced that they will be without star forward Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Knicks have also announced that Mitchell Robinson will start in place of Towns.

Robinson is in his eighth NBA season (all with New York).

The veteran center is averaging 5.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest while shooting 71.4% from the field in 57 games.

When healthy, he is among the best defenders in the league.

Currently, the Knicks are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 49-28 record in 77 games.

They are 27-9 in 36 games at home (and 7-3 over their last ten).

After the Bulls, the Knicks will visit the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Bulls are 12th seed with a 29-47 record in 76 games.
