Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Lakers signed Collin Sexton.
The former Alabama star is coming off a year where he spent time with the Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls.
He had averages of 15.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.5% from the field and 40.1% from three-point range in 68 games.
ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on July 1): “Free agent Collin Sexton has agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell ESPN.”

On Thursday night, Sexton made a post to Instagram.
He wrote: “Everything I thought was holding me back was actually pushing me forward.”

Looking At Sexton

Sexton was the 8th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after one season of college basketball.
In addition to the Bulls and Hornets, he has also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz over eight seasons in the NBA.
The Lakers wrote (via X) on July 12: “Bringing the energy to LA. Welcome to the Lake Show, Collin 💛”
The 27-year-old has career averages of 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists per contest while shooting 47.2% from the field and 38.9% from three-point range in 475 games.
He has yet to appear in an NBA playoff game.
