NBA World Reacts To Boston Celtics Announcing Roster Decision

On Sunday, the Boston Celtics played the final game of their 2026 regular season when they hosted the Orlando Magic at TD Garden.

The Celtics won by a score of 113-108.

Dalano Banton finished the victory with two points, four rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four blocks while shooting 0/3 from the field in 36 minutes of playing time.

Before Sunday’s game, the Celtics announced that they had made a decision on Banton.

The Celtics wrote (on April 11): “We have signed Dalano Banton to a standard NBA contract ☘️”

Banton’s NBA Career

Banton was the 46th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Nebraska.

The 26-year-old has played part of five seasons for the Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, LA Clippers (and Celtics).

His career averages are 6.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest while shooting 40.2% from the field and 30.4% from three-point range in 221 games.

The Celtics are the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
